Description
Earl Friday was a well-known guide out of New Baltimore, Michigan. His EF brand shows up on many different Michigan makers, but he was also a carver. This decoy is surely attributed to Earl himself and one of his earlier creations. It shows only a single second-coat working paint that is old and mellowed to a great patina. A blacklight shows this one early, possibly 1920's, working repaint with no other touch-ups or wood repair. Hollow with a super paint job and shelf profile. One scar of missing paint on the head and some tail damage that is all there, solid and no old glue. 17" bill to tail. I combine shipping for savings, look at my other auctions.
